    Upon setting a new password for an AT&T Bold 9900, latest 7OS... When I go into security>password settings, password is enabled and locked... How do you disable this setting with an option of enabling it at a later time...?
    As far as the IT Policy, underneath the "View IT Policy" button there is a message that reads " Viewing the IT policy will cause the device to lock"

    I taught you just toggled it off... it will prompt for the password.

    No, I set a new password which you have to do for initial setup. But when I go into password settings, the option to disable the password prompt is locked...

    that method did not work... but discovered an easier method using the desktop software... All you have to do is reset the phone to factory settings and it will remove the IT policy
