Hello Guys, Crackberry helped me fixing in my z10 hope they do the same now. I have a bold 9900 the battery was dead and the phone used to blink red light only So I thought it might be a Battery Issue so I got it replaced but still there was the same red light issue which blinked once and then thrice tried changing the battery I purchased so after trying everything I could think of I googled and came to know many people are facing the same issue tried some autoloader methods but none worked so finally I took the phone to a Third Party Service Center he told me the power ic is blowed and I will have to get it changed for the same he was charging me 6500 inr roughly approx 110$ which is quite expensive for this phone as OS 7 is obsolete since the release of OS 10. So is there any possible solution to fix this and if there is I hope it is cheaper than 110$

have you tired hooking up to BB desktop hardware and restoring the software, worth a shot its no good as is.

You could also go into the 9900 threads and find a leaked os and give it a try also, its faster than desktop

The Device is not being detected on BB Desktop Software, Only the red light is blinking

Tried Didn't Worked the Phone is being displayed in Device Manager as RIM Virtual port COM2 and COM3

Well i haven't done a bbos7 in a long time, i'm sure all you do is download the leak you want and run it it should connect for you, if not the phone might be just dead,

If all else fails, go on swappa or ebay and look for a used 9900. To me, the cost of repairing your present one is much more than what a used 9900 is going for on ebay.
