The camera on my bold 9900 from Rogers has stopped working its current running the 7.1 OS, it says "could not start the camera, close other applications and try opening the camera again. Has anybody experiencing/experienced this before. Help what should I do? Thank you

Obvious first question is, have you rebooted the device yet? If not, do so. If you have, and the error remains -- try reinstalling your OS.

I have done those all, I'm even downgrading the OS but it says "blackberry desktop software failed to install your device software"

Try saving everything you want onto your memory card then taking your memory card out and swiping it I hope this helps.
