Hey. So I purchased my BB Bold 9900 in September '12. At that time, the screen was really bright on the 100 setting (the brightest). Which I expected it should be.

Since an update made a while back, however, the brightness has greatly diminished. Not only that, but each brightness setting (40, 50, 60, 70, etc) are REALLY similar to each other - that is, there is barely any difference between them.

And so, I'm on setting 100 right now and the screen is really dim and has been that way for a while since the update, and only on SOME occasions does the brightness go high like it is supposed to - the original setting. (rarely, very very rarely does this occur and seems to be completely random)

I've removed the battery on several occasions, restarted, etc. and nothing has helped get the brightness back to what it should be.

Any suggestions to help solve this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Check your settings to make sure that the option for auto-dimming isn't checked off (it is by default). It will prevent full screen brightness.

So regarding brightness please could you advise how to make it more dark, more down than 10%.
Maybe you know some third party program?

You cant really make it any darker. 10% is the lowest it will go.

I think it will go really bright depending on the angle and the amount of light showing on the Blackberry itself.
