So I use an iPhone 4 on att prepaid ($25 month, +$15 data). Everything works great, I didn't need to jailbreak or anything else. I was wanting to switch to a Bold 9900 late last year, but couldn't find any useful info on a Bold 9900 working on att prepaid.

So does anyone know if its worth buying a Bold 9900 to use on att, or should I stick with my iPhone?

I have wifi at home and school, so I wouldn't be using that much of the bought data. Are there going to be issues with BIS?

AT&T doesn't offer any prepaid BIS plans, so if you get a 9900, you'll only get calling and texting.

You can use alternative browsers through WiFi, and a very slim selection of apps on WiFi but most require BIS.
E-mail won't work it all, neither will stock browser or most popular apps. (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare)

I would just keep the iPhone.

    Yeah, thanks guys.

I was thinking of getting one through T-Mobile on their $30 monthly plan, but it says that the $10 add on for BB services is only compatible with their $50-$70 plans.

I love my iPhone, but a Bold 9900 would serve me better. Oh well.

So i finally have my bb bold. Though it is a 9930 unlocked.

Here's the rub, I can use twitter, Facebook, and the app world. I use them while on wifi, but some bb users have said I wouldn't be able to use anything other than the browser without BIS. so how is this possible?

I would like to suggest that your Bold 9930 would work a lot better if you got it through a plan. This way you can enjoy it to its fullest extent.
