    the blue led is on even when not connected. i dont have bee buzz or any other similar app. Just every couple minutes it blinks. ill try a battery pull to see if something is stuck.

    If that's the case just run it back through the process again, sometimes it's needed.

    Put money on it its a 3rd party app or bluetooth
    Just because it wasn't blinking before doesn't mean anything, some apps require you to reconfigure them regardless. The default setting for some weather app could be to show a blue led etc. Check your 3rd party apps, not JUST led apps. App stalker - for example - settings don't survive an upgrade. It shows green leds everytime it finds new apps until you turn it off again.
