    I got a error/warning message on my new 9900
"Blackberry message full, please delete some sms message"

    I haven't encountered this before (9000,9700,9800)

I used device switch via DM
Is there a fix for this?

well if your memory is really running low there is no fix for that besides erasing some msgs.

I have a lot (I don't delete SMS, oldest sms is 2009), but this is not a problem before on my torch.
How come the bold 9900 can't handle this?

No offence but if somebody told me they still have every sms I sent them for the last 2-3 years I would be worried.

There is a certain amount of space reserved for data storage on devices and once that is full, the only way to add more data is to clear some old junk.

But I don't encounter this problem on the torch, I just recenty upgrade it to the bold.

I had the same message when I copied all my SMS from my 9700 onto the 9900.

I'm guessing the space the 9900 reserves for SMS is smaller than that on the 9700 or Torch!
