Anyone have an expected launch date on this? Summer? May, June?
Boy Genius has been saying it'll be announced in May with it coming to the carriers in June or July. I've also read 3rd quarter so maybe July but I'm thinking end of Q3 based on past experience with RIM.

If its not announced at Blackberry World, we should all start to worry its gonna be more like Q3 2012.

I'm surprised they even acknowleged it existed or knew about it. June is too far off for me!

I am doubting that a Verizon rep actually knows the release date for the phone but we'll hear more at BB World I'm guessing.

    Elgolfman,

I can't see that being true with the road map they have planned, the Touch and the Bold Touch at least.

Dunno. RIM needs a couple new phones with the cool factor to keep up with Apple and Droid. The Torch is cool but only on att and I hear its under powered and the keypad is average build qual. The Bold Touch sounds really good, specs and coolness. Battery seems small for wha its running if specs are true. Hope it holds decent charge.

When I googled "blackberry bold touch", a link add for Verizon shows up. Link says, Blackbery Bold Touch - Verizon Blackberry Bold is ready to run. Interesting. Link leads to VZW and says unavailable. Interesting.

What is the Battery Capacity ?
and How long the battery will last for normal usage ?

if we see it is thinner, I am afraid if the battery capacity is lower, and it will not last for long time

That is interesting. Maybe Verizon hasn't completely given up on Blackberry.

I tried this as well and based on the URL the phoneId is 5333.

Hopefully this will go live soon as I cannot wait to upgrade my phone. It's sad, I've been able to upgrade since Nov 2009!

i read somewhere today (ive tried finding it again but to no avail) that it will be using a new type of battery but of a similar capacity, but will last about the same as the previous bold.
but ive heard people say that wasnt a very impressive battery either

This is shaping up to be a multi-carrier release. I know at&t will be part of the US rollout but I don't think it will be exclusive...

Glad to see your post Phonegeek. I think remember reading you posts back when 9700 was going to coming out. Not sure if you have gotten your hands on the bold touch. If you do, how do you compare the screen size with the bold 9000? Appreciate any feedback!
