Man I really hope this phone releases for Verizon. If so, it will definitely be my next BB. Judging by the way it looks, it's probably gonna be in the Bold series which means Verizon definitely has a chance! If so, bye bye 9650.
yea im not gonna lie with or without video calling i will get one and drop m 9700 BUT it just sucks that u cant video call any bb people only android, wm7 and iphones.
Nearly all 3G phones (smart and dumb) have had video calling for years over here... and still nobody uses it

UMTS = AT&T or T-mobile... so at least for now, it's gonna be on a GSM carrier.
Verizon and Sprint never got the original Bold 9000, so it's a possibility the same could happen again.

Agreed. This will be a top-end BlackBerry that I will pay good money for and keep for years. I hope they don't go cheap on memory.
Video calling is not a deal breaker because it most likely would not look well on the small screens of blackberriees compared to the larger screens of iphones and andriod devices. Could this be the next bold for vzw being the the rumored bold 9650 eol for vzw is in march of this year and june is the month of technological releases and disscounts. Also the 3G mobile hotspot makes me wonder if this is the next bold for vzw because one of the main differences of the vzw iphone4 and the att iphone4 is that the vzw version has exclusivly right now the ablility for the 3G mobile hotspot which allows u to tehter 5 devices to ur phone, and the andriod devices can do this to' so maybe just maybe this is the next top of the line blackberry for vzw

Get the 9780 and as we get close to release or confirmed that the dakota will be released, you can sell your 9780 on ebay for $400 or so. Keep it clean and complete, keep the box and all the goodies to get top dollar. Problem solved and you get to experience the 9780 while waiting on the new phone.
