    DM showed "upgrade available" for OS 7 so i attempted to upgrade. device showed error 507 and now won't go away. i'm unable to use the device nor can i connect to DM.

    crackberry forums suggest various remedies from wiping device to downgrading OS. how can i do all this if my device is unable to connect to the DM? what happens to all the data on the device? can somebody help pls?

    you just have to download the os from your carrier site. then load it via loader.exe

    c: program files - common files - research in motion - apploader - loader.exe

    you can browse in forums for more detailed http://forums.crackberry.com/general...er-exe-574814/

    note. if you download os from your carrier, you don't have to delete vendor.xml

    thanx, guy but the 9930 won't start with the "error 507" on the screen....

    It doesn't need to start. Just follow the instructions above.
