Anyone know the best website to order an unlocked Bold 9900? I tried Amazon but they're all priced above $800. Thanks in advance.

Unlocked ones roughly run between $600-$900 as they are new to the market. Try blackberry 9900 | eBay
Might get a better pirce there.

These devices are all running for the same money pretty much everywhere. I went to a store here in nyc that wanted $1000 for a rogers unlocked one. I think your best best is ebay, that's how i got mine.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Do you think if I wait it out a little that prices will come down?

I think they'll come down significantly once there are more devices out there in the marketplace and certainly when at&t releases the 9900.

Pretty sure people were saying that the ones Roger sold were unbranded and their retail price was $549 Canadian.

well when I talked with verizon customer service they said that after buying the phone I should call them and then they will give me a code to enter, which will enable me to use the phone on other networks..

including GSM networks , because the 9930 has gsm features..

    at&t will only sell 9900 not 9930..

Check before buying the 9930. I bought the 9900 so I could get H+ speeds. The unlocked 9930 will only give you EDGE speeds which makes a big difference.

As far as Rogers, they sell Rogers branded devices. Those once unlocked will give you H+ speeds. However they are not selling them that easily without a contract and most stores insist that you at least have to be a Rogers customers(I'm with AT&T). That's why I avoided all the hassles and bought the unbranded one.
tech specialist from verizon customer service said that you would be able to use the phone with not only edge but 3g also..

    is that a lie ?

Yes. You may be able to use GSM 3G globally, but absolutely not in the US.

I purchased a Verizon 9930 and used Free Unlock App - Mobile Edition - Download Unlock App - Mobile Edition - Free Apps from BlackBerry App World (don't know why the title says "free", the app description clearly says PAID. I guess "free" download, but you do have to pay for it) to get the unlock code. I'm now in Greece on Vodafone with the 9930 and getting 3G.
