    Hello everyone,

I currently own an Iphone4 from Bell (cdma) and plan on swapping phones with a Rogers (gsm) user for the new Bold 9900. I want to keep my current Bell plan and only swap phones. I am under the assumption that all I need to do is have both phones unlocked and then swap sim cards. Is this a viable strategy? Or will the data plans not match up and cause issues such as no bbm or browser etc. Please advise on plan of action if this is not possible.

    Thanks

If you just want to switch devices, you do not need to do anything with your iphone. Just get the 9900 Rogers phone unlocked. With respect to BIS service though, you will need to call Bell customer service and change your plan, or see if your plan can stay the same but choose BIS as an add-on. I believe it is an xxtra 25/month. I cannot be certain, because I do not know what your current plan is.
