Just got mine at a Bell retail store about an hour ago. $169 + $10 upgrade fee. Returning the Rogers branded one to Rogers + tomorrow after work. Glad I can get that cash back. Bell rep was super nice, said they had lots of stock.
Is there a Bell logo at the bottom of the device? What about the start-up splash screen? Bell or no Bell logo?

No branding, no logo, no splashscreen.

    Rogers units locked
Bell units locked (some reports of unlocked handsets though from Bell), most 3rd party retailers will unlock on site as you buy.
Nice! I'd definitely rather have this one than the roger's model. Can u check in the settings just in case wi fi hotspot was included in the bell version?

Bell has a tendency to undercut Rogers on their 3-year deals. I remember at one point soon after the launch of the 9800, Bell was selling it for $50 cheaper than Rogers on contract.
I was talking to my Bell Corp rep who told me they generally aim to be around $50 cheaper than the competition.

I got word they got the 9900's in today, and within 30 minutes I had one on thecourier to me. Tomorrow is Christmas!!

No Bell logo on the bottom of the Bold, no Bell screen when starting up. I don't like Rogers plastering their name on any phone. The Rogers one I bought yesterday is going back tomorrow afternoon. Couldn't believe how nice and friendly the Bell rep was. She was easy on the eyes too!

I went to Bell store today and they said they don't sell the Bold 9900 without a plan ... the workaround I think is to buy it at full price, sign up for a monthly plan and then terminate after 1 month. Does anyone know if any Bell store in Montreal will just sell the phone outright without signing up for a plan?

Upgraded mine today. My local store had lots of stock and said they were selling well. In fact the young lady behind the counter mentioned that she wants one. She also said they are running a contest in each Bell store to see who can sell the most 9900's. The winner in each store gets a 9900 for themselves.

I guess it's locked to Bell? So, we have to unlock it to use on non-Bell network?

I would also like to know this. Can someone with a bell retail 9900 please dig in the settings menu and see if the wifi hotspot option is there??
