I used to own the storm 2, and used bb maps frequently. Now when i use bb maps with on the 9930, when i do a find location, it does not find the places near me. It just shows random stuff from google. Anyone else seen this and know how to fix it?

You need to be more specific. Have you setup font size and adjusted your settings? When you select "find location" does it show you street names?

Sorry, so when I do a find location, say (wendys); which is not to far from me. It does not show a location for wendys or any wendys with in my area. It just shows what wendys is from google, and some other random stuff. basically its like I do do not have any points of interest through BB maps.

I too used to suffer with a Storm 2.. I still wake up at night because of the nightmares... But now with my Bold 9930 life is good again! There is a new nave system that just came out. Its called TeleNav GPS Plus. It'll set u back $10. But but it is the best full on nav system out there. It easily keeps up anything the Droid phones have. Shows your car driving on the road, has turn by turn directions with voice guidance, exellent point of interest finder.. Its awesome! It really is the only system out there that actually works for the 9930/9900. Good Luck!!

I use Blackberry Maps all the time on my 9930 and works great. Just make sure location services are turned on and you should have no problem.

Though today I did have issues with it finding an address so I downloaded google maps (m.google.com/maps) and it found it. I keep both on there just in case but prefer BB maps because it integrates with BB Traffic as well.

Try typing your actual location rather then leaving it at "near me"
