My battery life has become exceptional over the last week or so. I've had my 9930 since they were released and my useage hasn't changed. The battery drain is now less than 1% per hour which is over twice as good as before. No reduction in apps or useage so it must be battery conditioning or something. Don't really care what it is, but I love the battery life I'm getting now!
I have always had good battery life on my 9930. I think there were defective batteries in the first batch. I see Rogers is giving new batteries to bold owners.

im stuck with the phone.
i hope seidio comes out with a 3500mAh for this phone.
then the only thing i will hate/dislike about this phone will be it is the weak camera...
i had to reload the OS and start fresh and then reload all my phones data. now im running .9-2% ad idle on my 9860. im pleased as well.
After a week of using stock os(353) I upgrade os to hybrid,and now batterylife is better

My battery life was doing well for a few days, roughly around 1.9 to 3.0% drop per hour. Things went nuts today, though. About four 20-30-minute phone calls, some Twitter use, and a few emails, and my battery was draining at 14% an hour according to MeterBerry.
I wouldn't be so concerned, except my battery drained from about 30% to 14% in 80 minutes while being unused during one of my classes.
I did hook up to my school's wi-fi at one point and downloaded Battery Saver from App World, but I don't think it worked. Hopefully I have better luck tomorrow and discover what drained me so heavily, because there was really nothing significantly different from what I've normally done.
Really? And exactly what does this have to do with the 9900/9930 battery issues?? :rolleyes:
The Rogers thing was because the batteries were defective and caused the phone either not to boot up or would always have a clock which I know can be cause by the battery, my friend's Curve did that, the battery caused the timer to appear. Those batteries weren't defective necessarily due to battery life.
3500?!! That's going to be huge, defeat the slimmness of the phone, I think it would be twice as thick, but if you could live with it, kudos! I beg to differ on the camera, I've taken about 20 shots so far and all the pictures turned out fine.
That and this is the 9900/9930 forum, of course I'm not saying you're not welcomed, I'm just saying you're running a Torch....I don't see the relevance there. They're both Blackberries?
i was on a roll too until last night, i made about an hours worth of phone calls. the battery continued to drain heavily, like 8-10% per hour even though i let it sit for a few hours after the phone calls unused. once i hit 38% battery left, i recharged back to 100% and rebooted the phone. then at 4am i unplugged it and barely touched it. by 8am the battery FINALLY dropped to 98% from 100. i was shocked thinking something was wrong, but sure enough it showed about .5% hr drain lol.
basically, after the phone calls the night before, the phone kept draining in an odd manor. fully charging and rebooting helped bring it back to correct battery standby drainage. my suggestion is anyone experiencing higher than normal drains, reboot and/or reset discharge rates. that should help.
That's your phone's way of telling you it doesn't want to make calls or listen to your calls but felt rude if it disconnected your call. ;)
