Hi,

It appears that every time I do a reboot on my 9900, whether a soft reset or a battery pull, I loose a significant amount of battery life. Just today, I did a soft reset while I had 100% battery life (it was just off the charger) and once it completed booting, it was down to 84%. Is this normal? I've had blackberries before the 9900 (the 8830 and 9700) and don't recall ever experiencing something like this.

I am running the latest leaked 7.1 but I remember experiencing this with the 7.0 officials too.

That's not normal on my 9900...at least a 16% decrease isn't normal.

I didn't look at the figures, just stated the obvious that it's perfectly normal for battery life to decrease after a reboot. 16% is however a tad steep.

My advice... stop rebooting. Sorted

1. Run it down till Radio shuts-off
2. Charge it to Full-charge (Green LED ON) in Switched-off condition

You're done !!

You may wanna do it 2 rounds - i.e. Full-charge to Fully drained & back to Full-charge

The Battery ought to self-calibrate by then.

Yes, so I've heard. But never had the battery meter act weird but have tried this and there's no harm.
Remove battery, plug in to charger and reinsert battery.

Weird, i tend to get more after a reboot.

Say i am now at 50%. A reboot will push my batt up to 55%.

My battery was going down by 1-2% after reboot. Today i noticed it went up 2% after reboot but then immediately went down 1% after about a minute.

That 16% drop isn't normal at all... I lose 1% on each reboot session, and sometimes the batter stays where it is

That's awful reboot your phone like 6 times and you are done huh!
