Does anyone know if the following are battery hogs ... especially when not running, and just installed? I just got a 9930, and have been experiencing at least a day of battery life, and don't want to ruin it.
I have Vlingo and I have not noticed any significant changes in battery life. I'm sure if you get many emails and SMS messages then it may kill your battery but not an issue with me yet.
You're safe with Vlingo not running while installed. I don't have any of the other ones.
I have BB Traffic and Pandora, neither use battery when installed. Pandora isn't bad on my battery but will take a toll the longer it gets used (3 hours vs 1 hour for example); BB traffic has yet to have a noticeable impact but I haven't had to use it for a 4+ hour roadtrip yet.
Neither Amazon nor Kindle is a battery hog. Neither runs in the background. Be aware, however, that to install either of these you will need to use a workaround which is detailed elsewhere on the forums since in theory (but not in practice) the apps are not supported in OS7.
I set the refresh feeds option in Facebook to never and its doing me wonders, Facebook ain't a drain anymore. I found my battery life improving after removing Wikitude as well.
The only two on the list I have are BB Traffic and Vlingo, Traffic is rarely used, so no impact. Vlingo reads me all my texts and emails, MAYBE a slight draw, not a huge impact, I still get 24 hours or more out of my phone.

Thanks for all of the other battery info. I have heard all of these horror stories about 9930 battery life. Right now, I don't have the issues everyone else is having. Maybe we should start a battery hog database.
