Does anyone know what the circuitry on the carbon backplate is for?

and the "carbon" is actually woven glass as carbon fiber would interfere with the NFC antenna.

When companies actually make stuff that we can use it on. For once we actually aren't waiting on RIM...

I was under the impression that the back cover was simply an antenna/radiator for the NFC circuit. I don't believe you have actual power flowing through the plate other than the RF signal required to boost transmission of the NFC transceiver chip, but I could be wrong...

I was under the impression that the little winky face would denote that I was joking since the question had already been answered twice.

Ton of information and non information on a couple threads already.

    My summary.

NFC is out in the majority of the c-stores in my area. Both inside and on the gasoline dispensers (not sure about the New Jersey gasoline dispensers though).

Not sure how it works yet because I am still playing with the stock OS and haven't loaded an OS with the NFC activation option. Probably need a couple apps for the credit card functionality. As for private usuage doors, parking lot gate, personal gasoline pumps, not sure how that is going to work as HID corp. is doing nicely with there technology but I have read that they are involved in NFC so we shall see in the future.

Free Roids - Download Roids - Free Games from BlackBerry App World

I wouldn't say its got the best of me. I hold my own pretty well. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you're referring to...
