Hi,
So the story goes like this...

In January, my father had backed up his 9900. Then sometime in April it failed and lost all data. However, he did not know how to restore and continued using it, adding existing and new contacts manually. Now he wants me to somehow update all his contacts, putting all the existing and new together. So basically say on January he had 1000 contacts. Failed in April. Now he has 800 contacts (400 existing in the old backup, 400 completely new). Now he wants the original 1000 contacts + the 400 new contacts in his 9900.

Is there a way of "updating" the old back up file? I have used Elcomsoft program but it only views BBB files. Is there another program that I can use to somehow join 2 BBB files and then make a new BBB file in which I can restore his 9900 with?

The only way I can think of is to sync it with something like MS Outlook (the program, not Outlook.com) then restore the old contacts and resync. You can set which way it will sync so you can save the new and add the old. I do believe you can do the same with a gmail account as well. Just set up a "dummy" account and sync it.
