I have be alert app on my 9930 on Verizon. I have OS 7.1.0.163 running on my phone. When I open the be alert app it shows runBBCMService as one of the applications that is running.

Does anyone have any idea what BBCM service is?

Are you using BBM Music on your device? Things I've found indicate that would be your app that is running.
