This phone has a 1.2ghz cpu and 768ram, I don't know why it should be so laggy. At times ill be in the browser and want to switch out to go into let's say for example twitter and the phone will stay in the browser w/o letting me do anything, no mouse or button control. Sometimes even up to 5 seconds. Does any1 else have this experience? Or similar experiences?

Did you do a device switch through DM? If you did, that could be the problem. Also buggy apps will slow your phone like that.

I own the phone now for about a month.
At the start no problem at all. But last week it started to become really laggy.
Sometimes it really does nothing for 30secs !

I have OS 7.0.0.253 and I didnt install anything new.
I use Facebook, twitter and Whatsapp.

I'm a business user so the way this is going is really irritating me.

You've done a battery pull, right?

If that didn't cure the lag, then update your OS as .253 is ancient now.

Yes I did and after about 5 minutes the problem came back.
    Really weird.

if there is one thing that changed is that I setup a bluetooth connection with my new car. If I step in the car it automatically connects with the carkit.

I think the phone lags in bad service areas.

    +1

I noticed the lag a lot in my office tower over the summer and on the train - both areas of poor reception. lag seemed to happen when the bb was sending/receiving data. I have since moved into an area with excellent coverage and have not noticed the lag at all.

Lag was still there after a wipe and clean install of the OS. Running stock .261 from rogers.

lol.No worries. DM is desktop manager.

Your phone should have come with a disk that installs it.

My phone lagged and had been lagging for a while.. I got a JVM 545 error and now I'm trying to re-install the OS on it. Seems to be crashing on WIN 7 for some reason. Now I'm waiting to get the beta code for the DM 7

I had the latest 9930 update from VZW, my carrier.

Just be aware you may have an JVM error coming soon..

Is there any difference between using the disk and downloading from the BB site?

Forget DM7, it's too buggy... stick with DM6

    I doubt that

Nope, except that it might be a slightly newer version if downloaded from the website.
