All I can say is thank God for the size. We've been screaming at RIM for this for years. Now if we can only get a solid release date.

I'm sure the size won't be too big a deal...with that full size qwerty keyboard and lightweight(but according to Crackberry Kevin, not cheap feeling light weight (maybe like holding an iphone) I'm sure I myself would be more comfortable with the Bold 9930's feel than a paperweight brick like the HTC Evo

The size should be amazing. The original Bold 9000 is what made me want to try a BB. I got rid of my second gen iPhone (6 months after release), went to the AT&T store, grabbed a Bold on displayed and fell in love with the feel overall of the phone. At&T didn't want to sell it to me at full price for some odd reason. That made me mad and switched to Verizon and bought a Storm =(. So this form factor is well overdue and this phone may make me switch back to BB, depending on when it is released.

    Not concerned one bit.
To the guy asking about a 9000 and an Otterbox Defender... That combo is what made me a Blackberry die hard. The 9000 dressed in yellow and black for work and all else except naked with a sedio belt clip (phone faces in) for going out.
I remember in 09 people photoshopping a trackpad onto a 9000, that was 2.5 years ago. I'd say this design is way overdue. C-mon, Ari Gold rocked this phewn for crissakes! You don't discontinue something like that. Welcome back 9000 refresh and then some!!!!!!!!!
PS: if this phone sucks I am ______________ (you fill in the rest)

Yellow and black? Now I am concerned! Thanks for the answer.

The Bold 9000 is the perfect size imo, some people complain about it but I'd rather have a phone that was too big rather than too small.

I have a BB 9000 and a BB 9780, the 9780 is in use because my 9000 has a wonky camera.

There isn't a vast difference in size between them yet the ease of use is so much better on the 9000, I type better and faster on that, the screen size is better and it just overall feels so right.

I will have a 9900 within days of it launching in the UK!

the original speaks bold, while the minis speak toy cars.check out the size of android devices on the market today and you will realize what in the world was rim thinking when they outed the 9700 series.even the size of the iphones are superior compared to the 9700 series.for rim to go back to the large size, its a job well done.

Hit up this site to compare with other phones you have had/thought of having alongside the 9900 to see how they compare for size/weight and features.

The Bold 9000 is just too big for me, The Bold touch is even bigger?!!
The Only thing i found good about the Bold 9000 is the Keyboard Which is even better on the Bold Touch?

It's Wide and Slim so it's gonna feel like my Old Nokia E72?!
Holding the E72 is not comfortable at all!, my hands even hurt

    It's hardly bigger - 1mm taller, 5mm thinner and 6g lighter

Still, if you have dainty hands...

I for one love what I have seen with this device in the videos and pictures. The only concern for me is the size. Is it too big? I've gone through CNET Reviews to get the dimensions for a few different devices to compare. I have fairly large hands so I'm told so maybe I shouldn't be worrying. Though the way it feels in my hand is part of the concern. I am also wondering how it would feel in my pockets.

Anyway, if anyone else is having similar concerns as I am here are the dimension of this device and a few other BlackBerrys as well as an Apple iPod Touch 4G..

In inches conversions done at Millimeters to Inches (mm to inches) conversion calculator :
    Bold Touch 4.5 x 2.6 x .4
    Bold 9000 4.5 x 2.6 x .6
    Bold 9700 4.3 x 2.4 x .6
    Torch 9800 4.37 x 2.44 x .57
    Curve 8330 4.2 x 2.4 x .6
    iPod Touch 4G 4.3 x 2.3 x .3

    In millimeters:

    Bold Touch 115 x 66 x 10.5
    Bold 9000 114.3 x 66 x 15.24
    Bold 9700 109 x 61 x 15.24
    Torch 9800 111 x 62 x 14.5
    Curve 8330 107 x 61 x 15.24
    iPod Touch 4G 109 x 58 x 7.6

I tried to get accurate measurements so please excuse me if there are mistakes.
I hadn't seen this thread until this morning....this is funny because last night I had a dream that we had 9900s delivered at work by mistake, that they hadn't been released to the public yet, and that I couldn't use because it was so large that it wouldn't fit in my hand....

....then I woke up and I saw this post.....
