BlackBerry Desktop should do the device switch, and migrate that info over. Presuming you already sync with Google, you can also use this:

KB22430-How to enable or disable wireless contact synchronization with BlackBerry Internet Service

Well then, that kills the device switch wizard.

Use this for your Android, then use the BIS gmail sync when you get the BlackBerry.

If you are using Gmail -- when you set up the account on the 9900 enable sync of contacts and calendar and it will all come down to the device.

You have to make shure all contacts and calendar stuff are on gmail account, if not you can open gmail in a web browser and manually enter the missing contacts and calendar entries, then and only then your data will be viewable and synced on any smartphone or tablet. As for the sms, all photos do a save as so you don't loose them, the text part, check for a cross platform archival / move app or program or just copy / paste as text notes or in a text file then save it.

Why would you take a 9900 when the BB10 phones are out in a little while?

They're not exactly entry level models though are they? If it was a Curve, I'd have guessed that was the reason. but the 9900 is quite expensive too.

This would be an ancient way of doing things, but can your Android store contacts and SMS Messages on a SIM (also assuming you have a SIM)? If so, BlackBerry may be able to see them. Note, however, that SIM contacts do not store all the details...
