i bought a 9900 the other day because i work in automotive, and i get dirty and move around a lot. i've had a few close calls with my q10 already, so i got a 9900 to use while at work so my q10 stays in still good condition. the only problem is, i cannot get 3g only EDGE data. i called tmobile about it and they said im pretty much screwed as their servers dont broadcast on the frequencies the bold needs for 3g.

is there really nothing i can do? i don' t really mind but it's a pain because i use spotify on my way to work and browse the web a lot when its slow

T-Mobile transitioned a lot of their 3G frequencies to LTE which as you can see, the 9900 does not have the capability to utilize. My suggestion is that if it is not too late, return the 9900 and get another shiny new Q10. Use the old Q10 for work and you will still have a new Q10 when the old one finally dies or gets destroyed.

Don't worry, the bold's browser is so awful it wouldn't make a difference lol...
Buy a used q5 instead to use alongside your cleaner q10

Note that, not everyone need newer OS10... Also the design of 9900 is timeless compared to other phones
