    Hi folks,

Finally! I have the 7.1.205 on my DM! So excited!

But it shows the OS with a * and when I try to upgrade, a pop-up comes up and it says 'You can't upgrade due to no Active Blackberry Plan'.

That's true but my BIS only goes in on 1 April, and I can't wait till then, can anyone help me?

    Steven

Use Loader.exe instead of DM... and use .267 instead of .205

    What is Loader.exe?
You seem like you know a lot of it, can you be more specific Phill?

That's an Easter Egg RIM puts in as a joke. It doesn't mean anything

Instructions for installing an OS using loader.exe is found in my signature

    1. Backup bb
    2. Wipe bb make sure SIM card is not in BB
    3. Once BB is booted without any SIM card
    4. Connect to PC
    5. Run loader.exe (dont forget to delete vendor.xml file)
    6. Update.

    Wiping is not required

    Wiping is not required
in normal scenario wipe is not.
But OP has a non BIS/BES enabled bb, and some of the service book is present there which may halt to achieve updating to newer OS.
Once wipe is done without SIM CARD, BB will not take any carrier settings by default and upgrade can be done easily.

    BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife

    BBH Tool

I've used both with good results.

No, your memory card and device memory are unaffected by a wipe.

We don't need a running commentary...

Just read the instructions you've already been given, then post any findings in the Leaked/Beta OS Forum when you're done.

BBSAK doesn't accept my password... I don't get it, do they mean the password when you reboot your phone?

From the instructions you've already been given...

    4. You will see a box to enter the password. If you don't have a password, leave it blank and press OK. If you have a password, key in the password and press OK.
