I started my BB journey with a Curve 8330 and then upgraded to the Curve 8530. Sadly the 8530 took a crap... even I couldn't fix it. Sadly I took a hand me down Storm 2 9550. That didn't last long.

Now that I have the sweet @$$ 9930 I'm even more addicted, and I absolutely love it! I still have all my old devices... I do miss my 8330 at times though. So many newbie memories. I installed a crap load of hybrids on that thing. No desire to do it with my 9930 though. It doesn't need it.

Since they launched it, I only had Bolds.
I had one before that, I cannot remember the number. There were too models quite similar, one with a full keyboard and one with a simplified keyboard. I still have them all.

8330 brought me into the Crackberry craze, and I held onto it until I upgrading to the 9930 on launch day this past August. I still have it as a backup device just in case, but my 1 year old currently likes to act like she's is talking on it and it is still holding up to the abuse she puts it through.

I started with 8700G, a side scrolling wheel device.
It was sky blue and very fat, but loved it
    Then I had 8320 and I liked until 8900.
    Here's my journey

8700G>>8320>>8900>>9000>>9700>>9780>>9900>>BB10 (with Bold 9900 formfactor, except battery)

At the time I had the 8330, it was the bomb. Best call quality phone I've ever owned. Had several before and several since.

I returned my 9930 after 3 days of use. It kept crashing and locking. I never had this problem with the 8330.
I'm also part of the minority that would say "touchscreen is a hinderance." I am starting to miss my Treo though

Nokia 6230b>8300>9700>9900. Each one a quantum leap above the previous.

I've had both. The 8320 was used so much, I don't even know how it kept running. I dropped that thing probably 100 times, left it in the car overnight in freezing temps, or during the day in 100 degree temps. I used BBM on it like there was no tomorrow, I had probably sent gigabytes of messages on it.

i had a 8330. i had aways liked the 9000 because of the keyboard and got my wish in the 9900.
It was the same for me too. When I had my 9630, my friend had a 9000 and I liked the 9000 better than my 9630. My friend and I used to talk about how awesome it would be if the 9000 had a touch screen. Wish granted, the 99xx was created.

I never had huge problems with my 8330 either.. but my 9300 is the best phone I could *ever* ask for. Period.

I used to hate touch-screen also until I used a samsung touch-screen (a galaxy maybe?) when I accidently covered my 9330 in undercoating (dont ask.. but it held on long enough for me to do a BBDM backup to extract my data). I *hated* the samsung, but kind of fancied the idea of a touch screen for certain apps and instances when I needed it, but also had the full qwerty for when I needed it.

The 9900 is a modern marvel, and isn't going anywhere anytime soon in my book.

Backk in the day, Palm *owned* the smart-phone and PDA world. Blackberry has stolen it away in my opinion.

Like many others, I got hooked on crack with the 8330. I have sold all my BB's I've owned since the 8330, but I can't seem to part with it. The 8330 is a reliable backup, and I would have no problem using it if I had to.

Now that I think of it, my 8310 and my 7290 are the only blackberrys that I kept/help up over the years.
