Is the 9930 for Verizon 4G?
No. And don't be fooled by att and tmobile 4g ads. They aren't real 4g.

But they are faster than Verizon's 4G...
PG
so is it 3G or fake 4G?
The 9930 on Verizon is 3G. It does not use Verizon's LTE(4G) network.
Nothing to debate here. Verizon's 4G is much faster than HSPA+ on ATT or Tmo.
But is HSPA+ faster than verizon 3G?
Unless you are using it to tether - no need for more than 3G for internet stuff - where I live (NJ), the signal is terrific and the browsing on the 9930 is fast! I have a 25MBPS cable connection at home and am used to fast downloads and it satisfies me...

 lolz
Makes for good laughs tho'
Yep, it is. If you actually can get HSPA+ coverage, which is even worse than AT&T's 3G coverage, which sucks already.
verizon's 4g LTE is faster than HSPA+....on occassion... look at some of T-Mo's speeds?
The entire nationwide HSPA+ networks also haven't gone down for periods of time...
I'm thinking that 'H' in H+ stands for 'hahahahahahahhahaha' just like AT&T's 3G coverage...
I have had a Verizon 4G LTE aircard for months. The thing is insane. Runs a windows Vista laptop like greased lightning.
I've noticed a lot of VZW billboards around NY/NJ saying Verizons 4G LTE --- Twice as fast as AT&T. And they're right, I've had both. Thank god for grandfathered UD!

I agree I had the great experience of trying out VZ's LTE in the bay are on a thunderbolt i had for a week (pos). Amazing speeds, I had about 24megs down the entire time I checked. The phone however left a lot to be desired and I don't live in the bay area so...back it went.
Also tried the Thunderbolt myself for 10 days. Battery life was so abysmal I just couldn't use it for work.
