so my buddy bought a 9930 (sprint network) off of craigslist.

we are in canada

He asked me to set it all up for him and update it 7.1...

ok first off when i put in his sim card and place a call it is showing the phone number from the previous owner, a USA area code and number, i am totally baffled. with no sim card in the phone you can still place phone calls. and when you go to voice mail it goes once again to the previous persons voicemail..

i am thinking that the phone is on a enterprise account.. i have read some threads here as to how to rid the phone of the bes, but i remain confused.

can anyone help me??
