So, would the 9930 work in Australia for example? We don't have any CDMA networks. We do have a 850mhz 3G one. Would it pop over to a GSM network by default?
I better take off work tomorrow and be ready for the lines at my local VZ. I have my alarm set now, and I have $250 ready to purchase this phone with my new two year contract extension available. Can't wait.
There I was only a july morning
Waiting for love

Yea, Thx bro. Just frustrating cause my first serious device was the 7230. SCROLLWHEEL KING! I had windows devices prior but that thing was killer. Plus I'm old school so i need my hardware keyboard in play for sms and emails. Been years since I had a bb so I'm super impatient.
I know and was told it wasn't possible, but some serious wishing, dreaming, hoping the 9930 can roam on the gsm bands using their hspa would be slick. I'm sure Sprint and VZW would have quite a few subscribers if it was do-able LOL.
July 28th was here and gone... I took a trip to the Verizon store and was not surprised to see the same old two BB's on display. It's a shame that its taking so long for a company to release new products to the public. I am due for an updated and I'm just waiting for the Bold 9930. I have decided to wait only till August, after that my wait is over and getting the iphone. Here's another sad story, while at the Verizon store I over heard two customer talking that BB was discontinued and my point is BB is really losing market share.
It always comes down the marketing and RIM has dropped that ball all over the place. No cohesive message, no clear picture and no real business/consumer benefit message. Make the BB a phone the corporate guy wants and still wants when it comes to fun. Work hard, play hard.
From what I have read up on these last few days tells me RIM's hardware is getting there. Vastly improved processor, internal storage, RAM to run apps and a future that includes QNX which means you can run Android Apps. If they can get QNX onto the phones (and dual-core should be a plus not a requirement) then RIM has a chance.
I for one am willing to return to the BB roots, but not if the phones are half baked and poorly implemented.
