If I were to use a 9930 with GSM, what would I not be able to do when compared to an AT&T/Euro Spec 9900? I know I will not get 3G in the US with carriers other than Verizon, but is there anything else? Thanks.

    9930 is 3G for GSM.
you can do all things which is done on 9900. No HSPA+ for 9930.
Make sure 9930 is fully unlocked before using on GSM.
9900 and 9930 are same devices with different radios.

I unlocked mine for GSM use. My understanding is that the 9930 is not compatible with 1900 mHz GSM. Can anyone confirm/deny this? If that is true, I'm assuming that I will not get 3G in some South American countries... Any info on that? I frequently travel to South America, so the lack of 1900 mHz compatibility could be a problem.

Didn't know that 9930 would be 3G compatible in my country.
Both 9900 and 9930 work with 3G here
