I am testing out a Verizon 9930 and a ATT 9900. The biggest difference I have noted is that the display on the 9930 seems to be more yellow and dingy than the 9900. The 9900 is very bright and has bright whites. Is the yellow display on the 9930 a defect or do the different phones use different displays? Has anyone else noticed that their 9930 is yellow and not as bright as the ATT 9900? I am wondering if I should return the 9930 for a new one.

Other than that the OS on the att is much better, things run a lot smoother on the 9900.

Appears that RIM has 2 display vendors for the 99xx phones. I have also seen this when comparing 2 TMo phones.

Not specific to 9930's, all 99xx series has variations in screen tint. Some bluish, some yellowish and some white. My 9930 is a crisp clean white.

Except for the fact that one is GSM and the other is CDMA they are the same really. They were all made by different factories though which means the parts come from different sources with different lot numbers. Lots of variables on outcome!
