    Hey folks,

So I'm tired of waiting for AT&T to get the 9900 and more tired of the dropped calls in NY. I understand the CDMA network disallows data (browsing/email/BBM) while on a voice call, but what if I'm home with my Wi-Fi signal working?

That's where I do most of my lengthy phone calls, so that's the only time I'm projecting having issues receiving e-mails.

    Can anyone confirm?

If it was tl;dr, here's the short version: Want a 9930 but need to make sure I can still receive emails and use BBM while hooked up to my home Wi-Fi during a voice call.

    Thanks,
    Angel

I make calls all the time when i am connected to wi-fi.

However, that is different than making calls ON wi-fi

I heard a rumor Sprint might release EVDO Rev B. Which would allow simultanious voice and data. I wonder if these new CDMA blackberries are capable of Rev B?

Are you sure about that? I have read elsewhere that the chips are Rev B compatible.

Note: I don't know one way or another myself. I've just read conflicting accounts.
