Yeah, saw that already. It was before they ditched the idea and went for the 9000 form factor

I am so conflicted: I love slider devices, but loved my 9000 and the 9900, with a larger touch screen is going to mean hands-on experience with both devices for me to make a decision.
I might have to discuss this with my carrier and ask them if I could have a loaner 9900 for a week or so to try it out, then, if I miss my slider, I can get the Torch 9810.
Most carriers offer a 14 day return policy I think (certainly if you buy from a retailer, unsubsidized, you might have a 14 day return policy)... so, I'm thinking I will wait 'til both the 9900 and the 9810 are available on my carrier (Virgin Mobile Canada), and take the 9900 for a spin for a week or so, and if the 9900 doesn't blow my socks off will I go to the 9810 (since I have a Torch 9800 now, the 9810 form factor is familiar to me already: if I find I'm missing the slider, I will bid a tearful goodbye to the 9900)
EDIT: the Torch 9810 has a 3.2" diagonal VGA (640 pixel X 480 pixel) screen... the Bold 9900 has a 2.8" diagonal VGA screen. Same number of pixels, if I recall correctly
The attached image shows the two screen sizes side by side to scale, but not actual size.
I'm the same - love my Torch, but like the look of the Bold Touch...
My upgrade is on the 26th of this month. I am pretty much going to choose which ever is available to me first. Ive has both the 9000 and the Torch. And I love them both. If they are both available, i would lean towards the 9900 i believe.
That's my thinking too, I got the torch last year cause of the bigger screen and dual keyboards, I hardly use the torch for browsing anymore now that I have the playbook, so I'll probably go with a non slider with a physical keypad when it's time to upgrade.
The 9810 is more than likely to release first on AT&T. Expect the 9900 shortly after.
and then there is Sprint.....................
candybars are just much easier to use and more robust.
the keyboard on the 9900 will be better.
having the playbook, i dont care for screen size
the illuminated trackpad is so damn sexy
the otterbox commuter case looks awesome fir the 9900
Still not sure which way to go here.

I am so on the fence right now, the one I want more is the one I'm reading about at any given moment. Which explains why I'm having one of those "I'm lying to you now" episodes in my head reading this thread.

I'm in the exact same position, but my upgrade is the 23rd. The Torch has been my primary phone since it's launch day, and I've used a 9000 on my other line for a while now. I genuinely enjoy using both for their distinct advantages, but if someone put a gun to my head and said choose, I'd go 9900.
