    Hi,

I have to purchase a secondary phone, mostly to make and receive calls, send and receive outlook emails, and calendar sync with outlook. And I’m considering either Bold 9900 or Q10.

Please advise if 9900 can still do the email and calendar thing without BIS in 2018 and is a option worth considering.

    Regards,

    Fahad

Q10 is better choice and everything is working without BIS on it

I was using a Bold 9900 for the longest time, but eventually switched to the BlackBerry Android models.

What did it for me is that I was getting more and more HTML emails that wouldn't render at all (blank screen).

That and the lack of a decent free GPS app.

If you are stuck on using the trackpad, you may want to get the Classic.

The KEYone is a really nice phone, and you can be very productive with it considering the huge amount of apps available. The keyboard is awesome.

I think you need BIS. At least around here, all carriers, even the smallest newest carrier still has BIS.

I would get a Q10 instead, but that being said, I still use my Bold 9900 all the time along with a Q10.
HTML emails are usually problematic, browser is quite crappy. That's about it.

Agree. As much as like my Bold 9900 I have to enable BIS. Browser is bad as described above. Technology has advanced...
went to KeyOne and tricked it out to feel like BB10 OS

Calendar sync functionality on the 9900 is severely limited or not functional, depending on your email provider.

I would also recommend a Q10, which still supports modern email/calendar/contact sync protocols.

It even supports iCloud natively, which Android phones do not.

Q10 and 99 are good choice for work but they have a low battery. You can choose Passport!

The battery on the Q10 and 99 are user-replaceable. Just pop in a fully charged battery and you're instantly back to 100%!

yeah, it's correct but I feel the battery of 9900 is quite instability. Do uou think that?

I found it to be pretty consistent, actually. I suppose it depends on your usage.
