Posting this for my girlfriend, her 9900 does not auto dim or go out after the precribed time. It stays fully alive.

Tried battery pulls, changing settings on the auto dimming, back light etc but this mas mad no difference. Have the latest software too.

Pulling the battery fixes the problem for a few hours maybe but then the problem returns. The phone obviously consumes the battery which is a PITA too.

Any ideas chaps.

Long shot, but try a reload of the OS. After doing it DON'T install the backup yet. Use it as is for a few hours first to see how it acts.

If all okay then load the backup.

Also has she installed any apps latterly? If so, maybe uninstall that\those first and see if it works correctly...
