9900 media card issues
So every time I reboot my phone (or it re-boots itself) I get a message that "a media card has been detected - do I want to fix errors?"
If I say no, none of my music or pictures are available. If I say yes the phone takes about an hour and a half re-locating everything before the media files are useable again.
It has to go through this process every time the phone reboots.
I've found no issues with the card, it works fine when plugged into the computer and even when using the Blackberry as a USB drive; I can access, view and play everything with no issues or delays from the computer.
Why is my phone having such a hard time with this ?

Another symptom: After going through the whole 'fixing errors' process when it looks like everything is working; if I take a picture and then go to view it I can't find it in the camera photos; nor can I delete photos from the folder, but if I view the folder on the computer everything is exactly where it should be.

I would back up the files on the card e.g. drag and drop your files from the card to your desktop and then reformat the drive and then put them back on.

I had a similar issue. Unfortunately for me the next day my bb9900 was toast. Worked with Rogers to try and install new OS several times but didn"t work. And it all startred innocently the night before when my memory card appeared to be wiped on my phone for no apparent reason. Like you, everything on the card was there but the bb reported zero.
I hope your situation resolves. Rogers sent me a new bb cuz like I said, the next day it was toast after a battery pull.
Good luck.

Yikes.
Well I'm backing everything up now, hopefully my phone doesn't go under tomorrow, but my issue sounds awfully similar to Stevie's. This just started happening today, I was walking along listening to music when *ZORCH* as far as the phone was concerened none of the files were on the card.

As with me. I went to look at a photo in my media card to show a friend and a message came up that there were no photos ans something about the media card. The phone turned on the next morning and I decided to remove the media card with intentions to replace the card. Of course to get to the card, I had to pull the battery. When I put the battery back all I got was a constant attempt to reboot and a flashing red light.
As I wrote, let's hope this will nto be your situation. Again...good luck.

Take this for what it's worth. It isn't the same, but it is weird issue with media card on a 9900, 9900/7.0.0.250 to be precise.
I started noticing that it would take a long time for the media card to show installed after a restart. The time seemed to vary, from 5 or 10 minutes to 30 minutes. A hard reset didn't make any difference. If I tried to do anything before the card was recognized I would usually get a error reset message on the white screen in a few minutes and have to reset. After several of those in one afternoon, I reinstalled the OS.
No issue after the OS reinstall. No errors, card is recognized immediately on startup.
As I say, not the same set of symptoms exactly, but strikes me as probably the same general issue, and curable by reloading the OS.

Is it a class 10 memory card? Sometimes lower class cards tend not to work well in the 9900 eg to slow or not read properly.
