I like the 9900, but after trying two new ones, I still don't have one that works. The keyboard and touch screen become unresponsive or lock up after minimal use. I'm afraid this is a major defect, and strange that two new 9900's have given me the same experience. Going back to my old bb for now.
Did it start locking up after loading a bunch of applications? I've noticed that when there are too many applications on the 9900 (as well as the 9700) the performance can decrease so much it appears to lock up and become unresponsive. ie. takes forever to wake up and provide unlock prompt. If you have a bunch of apps you not using, backup your BB and start unloading as many Apps as you can. If you dont use podcast, Yahoo IM, or have 2 Maps (google + BBMapps) lose the google. Make as much room as you can. Make it lean and mean. It will make a huge performance difference. You will be surprised how many apps you can live without. and if you cant add it back.
