Is the torch's physical keyboard smaller than the 9900? ... should be otherwise the same in terms of quality?

    Thanks

Yes the Torch's keyboard is smaller than the Bold 9900/9930 keyboard. But ill say this after using a Torch myself for about 6mths...the Bold's keyboard is by far the best keyboard out of all the BB range...its an absolute joy to type on it and i miss my old 9000 Bold.

Looking forward to getting my hands on the 9900 though.

I had a 9000 and it was my most favorite keyboard ever. I switched to the torch and it was painful for me to type on. The virtual keyboard seemed better to me... Maybe my chubby nubs got the best of me? Thrilled about the 9000!!!!!

Yes that's right. The Torch's keyboard is inferior to the 9700 keyboard, which is smaller than the 9000 keyboard, which is only 94% the size of the 9900 keyboard.

    So 9900 > 9000 > 9700 > 9800

The Torch's keys are also flatter and have less travel.

I hated the keyboard of the Torch! Thought I would love the dual keyboard, but it drove me crazy. Ended up going to the 9780. Stoked about the 99XX series, though. Hopefully some day I'll have the dough to upgrade

that math does not work out 6% bigger does not imply 94% smaller it implies 1/106 smaller

fine that works out to be 94.3396% but still.

The 9900 keyboard is the best physical keyboard RIM has made since the 75xx series.

How does it feel compared to curve's keyboard?

I hated the keyboard on 9700 but I love the keyboard on my curve. Is 9900's keyboard better than 9700's?

I agree, The Curve keyboard is very good as the keys are not stuck next to one another, but the device is horrible. Oh well, the 9900 will kill them all

    Thanks for clearing that up.

That 0.3396% completely turned my logic on it's head.

    You're a life-saver.
