Am from zambia I recently bought a 9900 3g/4g on ebay, but the problem am having is that its encryption is on, when I got it, it had a password on, so I had to wipe then immediately after tha wipe it asked me for a new password. Am unable to access services like protect because of encryption, I need help of how to unencrypt because when I go there to unencrypt its not highlighted. I even tried changing tha OS, I think its in the ROM. Any help. Thanks in advance

Have you tried the Options for security?
There must be a choice for encryption there.

You dont need blackberry protect if its encrypted, I recommend keeping it on. These phones are cheap now so if someone steals it you only have to worry about your data. If its encrypted to the max there is nothing on this planet that can crack it in your lifetime.

Nursingninja all my infor from past blackberrys I have used was backup app by protect dnt even have 1 back up on my pc. So I just started collecting contacts afresh, I even lost my notes were I write sam password. Some 1 sayed I should creat an empty it policy then add my device and wipe. Then everything is gona be normal.
