- I received my Gold battery today and I keep getting the battery with red X icon. I have tried several times to decode the thing and nothing. Can someone please explain to me what is the procedure to decode it? I have followed the procedure on the sellers site with no results. Thanks everyone.07-18-12 08:03 PMLike 0

Posted from my Crackberry @ Wapforums.crackberry.com07-18-12 08:12 PMLike 0 - Thanks but never mind. Does not work on 7.1 or higher. I just read the damn description again. It worked on my wifes 9790 perfectly. Just so everyone knows....IT DOES NOT WORK ON 7.1 OR HIGHER!!!! Now I dont know if going back to 7.0 or just wait till theres a battery that does work.07-18-12 08:26 PMLike 0

- I've bought three extended batteries now, and got only temporary peace of mind! The first had to be recloned after every reset, so it was useless. The second, the ecell Gold, worked fine but when I had to exchange my handset it couldn't be recloned for the new one. The third, the Momax, won't work on my 9900 with OS versions .402, .428, and .523. Maybe it'll work with some future build, but I doubt it.
I'm not spending more money on extended batteries until there's one, in the 1400 or so range that doesn't need a special back cover, that works without cloning.
Upgraded from 7.1.0.437 to 7.1.0.523 with Momax 1400Mah X Battery in the handset and the phone rebooted no problem!
07-19-12 08:05 AMLike 0 - Hi, I've spent the last 20 minutes reading this entire 33 page thread. I'm not looking to do the Sideio 3300mAH batt with the large new cover..
I've initially read about the Gold 2430mAh ($9 on ebay) and how you only had to clone it once.
I also read about the Momax 1400 ($25 on ebay) and how it also improves battery.
The initial reads are the Gold 2430mAH gives from 25%-50% (mostly 25%) additional life.. what is it of Momax.
What is the "summary" recommendation for getting a better battery?

Momax 1400Mah X battery is best of the bunch, you will not get more than 20% from any extended JM1 size battery.
I also have Seidio 3,000Mah, great battery for special long trips, to heavy for day to day use.
Momax 1400Mah X Battery still has 60% after 12 hours of moderate use and only has to be cloned Once!
07-19-12 03:04 PMLike 0 - Hi there. What about these ones:
DSTE JM-1 Mobile Battery for Blackberry Bold 9900 9930 full code EASY USE NOW | eBay

BTW, Mugen has a replacement 1500 battery. Costs about $40-45, also ships on ebay.08-27-12 01:55 PMLike 0 -

- I feel no need to change the hardware, just try out this hybrid thread ; http://forums.crackberry.com/hybrid-...evices-736988/
I have found peace with the battery life after loading this awesome piece of work, guess you should give it a shot !ria__x likes this.08-28-12 12:45 AMLike 1 - well its been over 48hours on this gold battery and i'm at 20% charge remaining....i can say it does have a slight capacity increase over the OEM battery.....and the bonus is it does not require re-cloning after every reboot or battery pull like the other cheaper "china 1500ma" battery i tried a few months ago.
not bad....we will see how long it lasts before it does not hold a charge at all anymore.
well worth the purchase.....ria__x likes this.12-04-12 09:16 AMLike 1 - I am currently running the mugen 1500 mah in my bold 9930...came ready to plug and play running the latest 7.1 (.737) and I DEF saw a battery increase. Its slightly thicker but lays behind the battery door PERFECTlY....Im getting several hours more out of my battery now. I know a lot of people that shy away from the 40 dollar price tag...but if you buy 3 china batteries at a cheaper price..you end up here anyways!ria__x likes this.12-05-12 08:54 AMLike 1
