my 9900 with a 7.0.0.579 has a fast discharge rate,i unplugged the fully charged device from 6:45am and go to school,i check a few emails and browse for 20 min.i'm not using BIS so i don't got any fb or twitter apps running in the background and the battery dropped to 20 or 30% in 12pm.i'm wondering is there's a problem with my device,os or battery, the battery problem is so annoying!!

Install the leaked 7.1.0.205 and use the battery analyser function to see what is causing your problems.

You can load the .jad file for the device analyzer without reloading a new OS, but a wipe and reload is probably a good idea in you case. Something is jacked up.

You browsed for 20 minutes?! Are you crazy? This is a boutique browser on the 99xx. It's not meant for that extreme use.
Seriously...if I browsed for that long, I'd expect some serious drainage. The browser for me has been a power hog...second only perhaps to navigating with the maps program.

Wow. I navigate with BB Traffic and spend at least 20 min on the browser every day. Emails, lots of phone time, texts. No worries. 16 hours later I'm at about 40%.

Mine is crap compared to yours. It's always on a downward slope and I'm not even doing anything on my phone. It's the worst.

Which OS do most of you guys recommend? 3 weeks in with this phone and I realize the battery goes down relatively quick.

According to my device analyzer (I'm running 7.1), it says I have a 5.25% discharge rate.

i believe that is a bit high for not even touching the phone.

I am going to do a device wipe tonight and I'm going to keep my fingers cross that my batter life will improve as it was when I was running 7.0.
