I'm expecting QNX to be the beginning of the end for the conventional BB form factor of screen above qwerty keyboard.
One major selling point of QNX/BBX for the consumer market will be the ability to run android apps.
Android phones are full touch-screen with OSK, I don't know of an Android device with a real keyboard. I know bluetooth keyboards can be used with the tablets, and am happy to be shown I am wrong.
Surely in order to run android apps sucessfully the phone will need to be the same form factor, and a similar size. Landscape apps MAY work on something like the 99xx but an app that should run in portrait mode just wont work well as far as I can see.
I hope that at the very least hybrid/slide devices such as the torch continue to exist as on of my reasons for choosing a BB handset is the keyboard, I like real buttons.
Only time will tell if any of us are correct.
