My 9330 has never ever ran on 3G the internet is slow, Sprint says the network is fine, they also checked my device and said it was fine (went through my menu to make sure it is setup correctly). They have to send the problem to the engineering department and I have to wait 24 hours for a reply call, any idea why I wouldn't be getting 3G?

It always says 1XEV no matter where I am...REALLY SLOW try streaming iHeart radio on this crap!

I did read that 1XEV is 3G and my phone just will not say 3G and lowercase 1Xev is 2G??

1XEVDO is similar to 3G however on the CDMA network. It isn't as fast as true 3G.

It does not show the "DO" on 1XEVDO not sure if there is a difference here?

I installed Fancy Speed Test and tested 4 of the closes servers two times each... the lowest ping I could pull was 195 @ 199kbps down. The fastest download speed I could pull was 1mbps @ 225 ping (worst ping I have seen was 420). The average ping seems around 200-250 and the average download speed seems to be around 300kbps even though I have seen a maximum of 1,024kbps. This is using the 512kb transfer test, and 3-4 bars of service.

I feel your pain with poor data speed , my 9330 and Torch 9850 ran on 1XEV on a good day, majored I survived on 1xev that's Sprint not now network for you, there is nothing wrong with your device, believe that.

I don't even bother with wifi but I would expect to get whatever the landline speeds are.
