Noticed after 2 battery pulls the battery dropped 10% It has never done that on .440. Then on my wifes hers dropped 10% after 5 minutes of use. put it back on the charger and it jumped from 90 to 100 in seconds wierd. I think I'm going back to .440 never had a issue on it.

    ...My 9900 shipped with .440 (like all at&t, I think) ...
I bought mine over thanksgiving and it shipped with a previous version, can't remember the number. About a week later the .440 became available to me OTA.

Going to fire up the pc now and see if this new update is available via DM. That would be great. When I updated to .440, I lost all ability to see native apps in DM - hope this fixes that.

Oh, I've had no problems with .440, except for poor battery life. It's a lot better though than the OS that shipped originally with the phone. And forgot about occassionally charging stopped, saying it's fully charged, when it's not.

Updated a bit ago. Then turned off the phone and did a battery pull for good measure.

All was fine, was browsing on the web, and got this message:

"net_rim_bb_browser_daemon (153) not responding, process terminated"

I shut down the browser, opened it back up, now it is haltingly slow. Off to do another battery pull I guess.

Anyone know what that process is?

My guess is a batt pull will do the trick.. That's the web browser service. Do you have the 99%-92% bug?

Battery pull did not fix this after about 10 min of browsing, same message popped up. And the halting typing is still here too.

I don't know about the battery bug, I haven't charged it fully yet. I will report back!

My bad, I copied/pasted wrong, here is the process:

    net_rim_bbid_daemon (153)

I went into AppWorld and it asked to reboot (in spite of turning off and battery pull twice), so I hope that will fix it.

    All AT&T 9900's shipped with. 440

There was a later update to that original .440 but no devices shipped with anything else.

It obviously wasn't an AT&T supplied device then.

Bought it at the kiosk at Costco, and it shipped from ATT in an ATT bag, with the ATT logo on the front. I can't say where they got it from, but it was sent on their behalf in some way.

Nope, charged it last night, two hrs off the charger it was at 100% still. 7 hours later when I woke up at was at 90%.

Did web stuff for maybe two hours, light email, and about 13 hrs later I'm at 45%. Fairly light usage for the day I'd say.

WiFi was on about the first half, and I don't run anything in the background.

Yes, I agree with Phill. When I tried the .585/.540 radio files, then the .585/.503 files The battery stayed at 100 for 3 hours even when I was running a bunch of apps for this Very purpose. I have the Menu where I can view my Battery percentage and it stayed at 100. Finally, it dropped to 92 percent after those hours.

What You experienced was the Battery Bug and it drops down normally After 92 percent.

My misunderstanding - I thought the initial drop happened when It was unplugged from the charger, not hours later. Funny, quirky little beast this thing is

I'm using 7.0.0.590. Not a problem with this and plus, I use an external battery charger, since my trusty usb chargers have been lying to me about the battery being charged when it was only 50% charged. If you love the stock OS that yours came with and have no bugs/glitches, why update it in the first place. It's fine the way it is OP.

This has been the best build I've loaded thus far: it fixed my constant loading/freezing/spinwheel issues I had with .503, and I was able to create Standard (music) Playlists again after being forced to create automatic playlists if Wi-Fi music sync was loaded & connected with Windows Media Player. Stable build, battery life is solid, no hybrid with other builds used. Highly content with this build. Hope this helps!

Downgraded last night and don't see too much difference in performance. Actually I think this build is working better in some areas over .590. On .590 I was having problems typing in the crackberry forum, lagged a lot and now it's gone with .576.

Same here.. Fixed so many issues for me and batt life is sooooo much better. No real bugs other than the 99-92% bug.

I downgraded from 7.1.0.205 due to the 2G/3G not being available on at&t. Nevertheless, I am happy with this version and apart from the battery bug (which struck this morning) it is clean and smooth running. Giving up hot spots availability (which I wasn't usung) and NFC (which I have yet to use) I am not disappointed.

I encountered some issues with .205 that were troublesome but thus far no problems here.
