anyone have any ideas/thoughts/guesses on when those of us with the 9930 will see the .400 upgrade to the OS?
Starting to feel like the 9930 is the forgotten step child of the 9900... seriously!

Nah, it's not like that at all. It's just that GSM devices are more common as there are more carriers doing testing for them internationally. The chances of the 9900/9860/9360 getting a leak over the 9930/9850/9350/9370 are much better.
But up until this .440 leak, it seemed we were seeing simultaneous leaks between both GSM/CDMA variants. I don't know what's happened since then.
Hopefully we see a leak for the 9930 soon! Hopefully we'll get some goodies somehow next week around devcon time. :)
Shoot.......I'm wondering if Sprint will EVER upgrade!!!! The 'official" release is still .241 .....WTH!!! lol.....and yes I know I dont have to wait on Sprint to release anything....just the point they always have to be last lol.....THANK GOODNESS for the folks at OSBB!!!!!!:D
Verizon's is .254 I believe. Don't feel bad, they're both slow on official updates.
I'm doing just fine with Stock Verizon OS. GREAT Battery life, much better than when it was brand new, and none of the "issues" that have been reported by others. I got mine the day it was released and LOVE it!:D
Just do Java swap if you want to try the goodness of .440 open your original java, highlight and delete your original CODs then highlight copy and paste the .440 into it.
Backup/wipe device
Run app loader
and Bang woila .440 is yours. :D
I could be wrong but from my experience, the radio file makes a more significant change than the java files. I have had some good hybrids in the past that fixed certain issues with swapped java files though.
But in the end, I feel more comfortable knowing I'm using the combination RIM chose to release as a package (i.e. full 440).
Verizon might be slow in releasing updates but I've never had an issue with their official releases whether it be the OS itself or the upgrade process. People who install leaked versions then complain about issues they are having are very annoying.
9930 needs a new OS leak desperately. I can't wait to install something else, 353 runs like ****.
