    Greetings!

I have had the 9930 for a few days now and have a question about USB power sources.

In short, I have no issues charging from the included power cube and the USB port in my Silverado.

However, I have a variety of USB power chargers, including two from Scosche that I have used for years to charge my 8330 without a problem. I have tried a variety of USB-to-MicroUSB cables to no avail.

The BlackBerry suggests they don't have enough power capability, but these are rated at 2A @ 5V.

Has anyone had any experience with third party USB power sources with the 9900/9930?

    Cheerios!

Do you recall which forum directory it was in and perhaps about when the subject was brought up? I did a number of searches and wasn't able to locate anything relevant.

    Thanks

These are topics that discuss the subject but so far I have not found any consensus as to a cause or solution.

I've got a scope on mine and it is maintaining 5 v very nicely.

Also I tried a 5 v regulated power supply connected to a USB cable and set the supply to everything from 500 to 2000 ma and still no joy.

I'm wondering if the BB is looking for something else...
