I'm finding the battery life in .205 seems a lot better than any other OS I've tried. Anyone else find it better?

+1. The battery life has been awesome since I installed .205 last week. It's like a different phone battery-wise.

Ditto . quite surprised how a OS update can make the battery life sooo much better . i've had the carrier OS 7.0.0.579 , with that OS discharge rate was around 7-8%/hr whereas with this new .205 its hovering around 4-5%/hr , which is pretty good . battery last almost 20-24hours with moderate to heavy use . earlier was quite pissed with it but now very satisfied

That's insane! I've had .205 for 2 weeks now and my piece of crap phone only lasts 12 hours, and I don't even use it much!!!

I've been on 7.1.0.205 for a few weeks now myself, and the battery life is always in the pathetic 10-12 hour (max) range. However, I've also been playing with a 9860 on the same OS version, and it gets much better battery life. (its also running much less, so go figure) Though it does seem like RIM is using the same JM1 battery on a lot of the new OS7 phones.

7.1 has been a lot better especially .205 but the only problem is the sms and phone call problem so i downgraded to .190

    battery life has improved drastically.
before, i'd always have to use 2G only to have the bb last a full work day. now I have it on 3g/2g (4g) and it will last just as long. (~12 hours)

maybe they finally added a better network connection method? ie: when you're not using the radio, it goes into a sleep mode or lower power radio and when u need to use it, bam it turns back on or wakes up to give you the wonderful speeds of 4g.

I been use this OS about 3 week +. I don't see any battery drain or OS sluggish here. For user that having battery drain problem, try to reinstall it with full wiped and don't use any OS 6- with. It should be fine. Mine discharged rate at 1% when idle, 2% - 3% for moderate use and 4 - 6 when heavy BBM my wife. And it last me 23 - 26 hours but I just need 14 - 16 hours. So I will streaming TV form my phone to let it drain.

Much better battery life than the other OS versions that I have tried. Far from being perfect though but I could adjust to live with the current drain.

I find it is definitely around 50% better with .205. I'm a charge-every-night kind of guy, but usually I crash at my girlfriend's place on weekends, so my 9900 is without juice overnight. I used to be either in the yellow or red by early afternoon the next day, but with 0.205, I'm still at half. Absolutely beeeeeeautiful battery life on the 9900 now.

    Yes.
Agree that the battery life of 9900/7.1.0.205 is the best for me so far.

I haven't done any scientific calculations and measurements of battery drain, but I'm using my вв 9900 same as before.
And from the last 10-12 days of 9900/7.1.0.205, its been a satisfying battery life.
