i see a lot of really cool home screens that look really customized, how do i get started on this? Android had launchers and such, what does BB use and how can i get started?

Welcome to CrackBerry, and the theme forum. ;)
At the point, it is pretty limited, the only themes here are from the really devoted as you have to hack the themebuilder to get it to work.
Some are free and awesome though. :D
MiniBanner is cool and free.

The only theme I have is the Small Banner theme, it only changes my notification bar. I decide it depending on the wallpaper I am using:)
