Something I never thought would be possible on a Blackberry from when I first invested in a Storm1 on release day.
BUT... here it is. A theme that delivers superior performance, with a live animated banner which also glows red when a new email appears or you have a missed call.
Check out the video for more information.
All creds to dcburke789 and Lucky45 from drkapprenticedesigns and themesinmotion!
I currently don't have audio yet at work.... so I can't hear what is being said. But, is it currently on your device?
If so, how is the performance on your device?
The audio is just backgroud music
It is running on my device, and running fluidly as you can see from the video!
No noticeable battery drain from the animation at all. the Mini Banner theme by dc is already out, and it's available for FREE at the moment. The red glow is already present.... basically everything from the video, except the animated banner at the moment:
Its already out. @DRKapprentice and @_Lucky45 released it a little while ago on twitter. Here's a link https://t.co/aRTjdHbs
Are you sure that is the live banner version? And I'm assuming it was only released for testing. Not sure. I thought DC would have updated his thread in the themes section, or made a new thread for the Bold aLIVE theme.

It is DC released it on twitter about a hour or so ago.

Got it. Must have been right after/when he BBMed it to me. I assume a post here (in the theme section) will be coming soon then! It seems perfectly ready for release to me!
Hope the video will help convince you to download this! Really makes the Bold shine!
That's pretty cool, but when I first read it I was thinking it was like a live news feed, like maybe from your twitter, or even stocks? I guess that's the next step

There are apps for that! If I'm not mistaken CrackBerry released a news feed app, which animates right under the banner.
And I know that Fancy Widgets and other apps have the ability to put your calendar, stock info, and twitter feed right on your homescreen.
