Hi everyone,

I have never loaded a theme on to my 9700, I guess I am pretty happy with what is already there. But I see so much talk of themes, I am wondering if I should try one.

It seems to be a bit of a minefield though, so much choice, I just don't know where to start.

Is there one theme (pref free) which you think makes the effort worthwhile?

I'd really appreciate your suggestions...

There are a few that copy the basic look that u have with your 9700 but incorporate hidden today stuff. Best thing to do is just go to the themes forum and take a look at some of the screenshots.

Every theme has both people that like them or people that hate them. I'm sure you'll find many nice ones with a bit of searching.

I downloaded a simpsons one that I thought was pretty sweet, but the overwhelming yellow will drive you nuts!!! I have the Hypaereon Sliq running right now, I'm pretty happy with it. Homescreen has 5 small icons on left wall plus audio control, your 6 main big icons on bottom and a weather bubble attached to the top right of the banner.

There are tons of them out there, and there isn't one perfect one. It's been my experiences that the best ones are free. Keep an eye on the themes section and also here http://forums.crackberry.com/f146/po...screen-365464/

My favorite is 3G9700 by M Assang. Each icon across the top lets you control a certain feature. The upper right icon is a QuickLaunch button. The icons across the bottom are user configurable for apps, as is the top-center one.

Everyone has a different taste in themes but personally, I like the Analog theme made by Elecite.

i would love a zen precision theme with transparency border, icon dock, and custom wall paper for the app screen. Nothing else changed. It seems like I've been looking for a theme like this since i started using BB's. Which has been for over a year. If any one has one please shoot me a link. Thanks.

Agreed. Been using this theme on the 8900 since the day it was released.

I am admittedly not a fan of themes but the Real Icon theme from Calx
Designs is also very nice. That is one of only two themes I have ever
paid for.

In my relative short time being a bb owner/cb addict, I must have downloaded at least 50, and if you count the ones that were upgraded/revised/deleted and redownloaded, its easily over 100. The minute you're done arranging the icons and feel like you found "THE" one, another one will inevitably pop up making you go thru the process all over again...I attribute my addition to blackberry in no small part to all the great themers in this forum, and hold each of them accountable for my battery door being loose to a point I need to buy a replacement.

Personally i am using a modded Precision Zen theme, without the grey bars on the top and bottom (so wallpapers are clear) and bouncing icons with hidden today.
